Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actress singer and music producer. Sara Ramirez was raised with her American mother. She encountered a number of racial slurs that led her to feel unwelcome. When she went to an event at school and was given the highest praise for her singing when she was in the ninth grade, the girl began to grow more confident. She not only gained confidence through the audition and gained experience, but also changed her the direction of her career. In 1992, she earned her degree from New York's Julliard School. When she turned 23, she started her career in Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, when she was 23 she made her film debut in You've Got Mail. Her biggest break came with her role as The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the original Broadway version of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great reviews for her performance. Later that year, as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC the show, she received more fame. Known as a singer she also released a single and an extended show. Also, she's an activist and fights for LGBT rights.
