Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford was born in the US. The actress is an actor as well as a singer and dancer. Her first Broadway roles, she played in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. In her performance as Essie In You Can't Take It With You she was awarded the Tony Award. Tony Award-winning actress Annaleigh Ashford spent her career working alongside renowned directors and actors across the stage, film and TV and she continues that award-winning work with several upcoming projects. Ashford is next seen opposite Kumail Nannjiani as part of Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford currently works in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch-Bachrach. As a Hulu Original, the film is available on Disney Digital Television's channels. Ashford is set to appear alongside Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre during the march 2023 production of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will be the creative team for the show. Ashford was Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, based off the scandal which included Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the nation crisis. Ashford was a part of two seasons in CBS successful comedy B Positive. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also included Ben Vereen as well as Hector Elizondo. Additional Broadway credits for Ashford includes Sunday in the Park, with George Wicked legally Blonde, and the role of Lauren in Kinky Boots. For this performance she received the Tony Award nomination. Ashford lives in Los Angeles & New York. Her birthplace was in Denver and was raised in Denver.
